i need to get some courage to write to fail-fandomanon, but that's probably what i'll do.
do you think i can ask for recs too, in addition for a place to go to for recs?
or even better... you see, i was thinking about talking on problematization in LoTR Russian fics, specifically in "Dark" fics, such as The Black Book of Arda and its derivatives. it seems to me that there is only a smattering of such fics in English, and their place in fandom history is nowhere as important as in Russian fandom. I found only "Morlindale", and possibly a couple more.
for one thing "revisionist" in e-fandom means "one who agrees that movie can deviate a bit from The Book", not "one who thinks that LoTR is a propaganda lie written by victors". it looks like "Dark" and "Light" have significantly different meanings too.
so... do you think fail-fandomanon is a place to feel out how English fans see this?
